System Connection

All BackStop system connections use our patented "LeakSafe" technology, professionally engineered using the best quality components. We use solid 304 stainless steel, plasma welds, and a specialized double clamping process to achieve the most secure connection.

Weld Construction

The water and air chambers of the tank are combined by a reliable, consistent, and high quality double weld construction.

Protective Coating

Coated with an appliance grade triple layer electrostatic almond paint, our tanks display a prestigious finish that protects the steel from natural corrosion.

Shrader Valve

Located at the bottom of the tank, and factory pre-charged to 50 PSI.

Water Chamber

Located above the double weld construction is the water reservoir zone which holds the expanded water volume.

Polypropylene Liner

The thermal expansion line is used for close loop potable water applications and our FDA grade polypropylene liner acts as a barrier to protect the water from touching the carbon steel shell of the tank.

Diaphragm

Our patented butyl rubber diaphragm has anti-stick dimples that are extra thick near the center to assist the diaphragm in maintaining its flat position as pushes upwards towards the water connection when charged.

Air Chamber

Surrounded by carbon steel walls and a rubber diaphragm, the 50 PSI pre-charged air chamber directs its force to the diaphragm creating the thermal expansion technology that protects your system.

Shrader Valve

The Schrader valve is located at the bottom of the tank, and can be utilized to quickly and easily add, release, or check air pressure in the tank.

Air Valve Cap

The protective air valve cover helps ensure the factory pre-charge makes its way from the manufacturing date to the date of installation.
